Tartan Pride story told in BBC ALBA film

RTS nomination for Tartan Pride

We are delighted to announce that Tartan Pride has been nominated for a Royal Television Society Scotland award!

The film, produced for BBC ALBA and broadcast in January 2015, is a factual entertainment documentary film about the historial, emotional and cultural impact of the Scotland v England "Auld Enemy" football fixture.

Tartan Pride is presented by Alex O'Henley and is written, produced and directed by Margot McCuaig and includes the rich testimony of individuals such as Denis Law, Tommy Doherty, Gordon McQueen, Joe Jordan, John Robertson and John Collins, as well as hearing from celebrated academics Kat Lindner and Matt McDowell.

This film excites and educates. Recounting the social history of people and place, the Tartan Pride narrative is illustrated with archive and drama that charts the journey of change across the generations.

We're really thrilled that it has been shortlisted in the Best Sport Programme category at the Royal Television Society Scotland awards. The ceremony is on the 25th of May 2016 so please wish us luck!

And more news, we also have another shortlisted film in the same category, Jim Baxter!
